Nurse Practitioners

Sister Joanne Shaw ANP (f)

Sr Shaw is qualified as an Advanced Practitioner.  She is a very experienced nurse and she  works alongside the doctors, diagnosing illnesses and prescribing for our patients.  Also responsible for the management of our insulin diabetic patients.

Sister Denise Beckett (f)

Sr Beckett is a qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner.  Very experienced nurse who is also responsible for the management of long term conditions such as diabetes, asthma, COPD and heart disease.  Also child immunisations, blood pressure, blood tests, cytology testing, lifestyle advice and ECG's.

Nurses

Sister Cheryl Taylor (f)

Very experienced practice nurse.  Responsible for management of long term conditions such as asthma, COPD, heart disease and diabetes.  Also cytology testing, blood pressure monitoring, child immunisations, taking blood and lifestyle advice. 

Treatment Room Nurses

There is Treatment Room based at the Health Centre downstairs. Patients can be referred here for things such as dressings, wound care and ear syringing.Attendance is by appointment only.

Health Practitioners

Jenny Blackman- Health Improvement Practitioner

The practice offers the support of a Health Improvement Practitioner to patients who may require extra input and advice to improve their lifestyle and overall health, Please ask your GP for more information if you feel you may benefit.

 

Mr Mohmed Patel (m)

Like Jenny, Mohmed works in the practice as a Health Improvement Practitioner to patients who may require extra input and advice to improve their lifestyle and overall health, Please ask your GP for more information if you feel you may benefit.

Mr Ruth Ambrose

Ruth has joined the practice as a Mental Health Practitioner.  She is working at several of the practices in the network.  She is an experienced mental health nurse and will see our patients following referral from the Doctors or nurses or you can book directly with her - ask our receptionists for information.

Mr Peter Harris (m)

Peter also works in the practice as part of the network team as he also works in other local practices.  Peter is an orthopaedic practitioner and can help with joint problems.  He works with us in the practice on Wednesday and Thursday, appointments can be booked through the reception team.

Healthcare Assistants

Ms Tricia Cosgrove (f)

Healthcare assistants support the Doctors and Practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement, ECG's and pulse checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
