In line with NHS England recommendations, the practice is currently compiling a list of patients for whom the recommendation would be to isolate for 12 weeks.  If you are in the group to isolate, there will be offers of assistance available to you to help you with this.  We will be texting or telephoning you if you are in this group in the next couple of weeks.

What is the advice to patients and the public?

The most important advice is to stay at home and do not meet up with other people for 7 days if you have symptoms of the virus. 

These are:

  • A new cough, and you keep coughing or
  • High Temperature

After 7 days, if you are feeling better, you can return to your routine.
The advice to the public is to isolate, you can call NHS 111 if you are concerned: 
Anyone who meets the above criteria is advised not to go to a GP surgery, community pharmacy or hospital. Instead they should call NHS 111 or use their online contact at

Stay indoors and avoid close contact with other people.
